Love Dare Day 23
Hello and welcome to you who God created to be VERY good in VERY good marriages!
Todays Love dare is simple but difficult.
To Love your spouse well, you must protect your Love relationship with them by removing ANYTHING that you've allowed (or caused) to get between you and your spouse on a regular basis.
This normally isnt a giant demon with a flaming sword, or a band of kidnappers that have taken them hostage, but rather other priorities in life (some positive and helpful in the right priority, some not)
Things like Addictions you hide, Screen time, your job, your affection for your kids, your hobbies, your " Me time", your friend time, over serving in ministries, etc... etc.... etc....
**Spoiler alert. These things are most likely idols that you consistently put above your relationship with God as well**
Soberly assess what your calendar and checkbook look like, and see where you are prioritizing things over your spouse, and make the adjustment to immediately stop doing that. Starting Today.
Warning - It's never God getting between you and your spouse. In Him, all things hold together including your marriage. Your relationship with Him comes first even above your spouse. If your relationship with God isn't 1st priority, you wont be able to love your spouse like Jesus, because you dont have Jesus guiding you- you've put your faith elsewhere**
