Love Dare Day 13 2024
Love Dare Day 13

Good morning to you, Sons and Daughters of the Ancient of Days- those beloved by God and indwelled by His Holy Spirit!
In marriage, there will be trouble. There will be conflicts. There will be disagreements, options, bad days that lead to bad words and bad actions. This is to be expected.
Becoming one flesh more and more in unity in all things takes time, work, perseverance, and discussion as we work through things. This leads to very good things in the end as God uses our marriage and spouse to sand away the rough edges of our lives and walk with Jesus.
But sometimes, the way we go about this in a way that's more like a hammer than sandpaper. We get emotionally wounded or disrespected, or simply have a mean steak and try to damage our spouse.
In a word, we fight as if our spouse is an enemy to be destroyed rather than our partner, that we love, that we simply need to work something out with. And we do it without headgear or rules to keep the fight civil and productive.
This is foolish. If we are one flesh, hurting your spouse hurts you as well, and we often do it then say things like " I'm sorry, You know I love you." but don't follow that up with actions or concrete change in the methods that we use to fight.
Todays love dare aims at getting you fighting with your spouse well.
What is fighting well?
In a way that helps your marriage rather than hurts it, even when you disagree.
In a way that solves the issue and doesn't make it worse.
In a way that allows you to love one another, deal with issue and move forward, in love and grace, together.
In a way that unites you rather than divides you.
It starts with establishing the rules of engagement.
May Gods grace guide you in todays love dare!
Love your spouse well, in Jesus name!
Remember- Faith without works is dead. Don't just read todays dare. GO DO IT!
Love is a commitment and requires work, but it is worth it and brings ETERNAL gain.
